Blockthrough is a Header Bidding wrapper for the adblocked web.

What is the Adblocked Web: Settings within a web browser or, software available to download to a computer, can enable a consumer to block advertising being served to them as they surf the web.  This is called Ad Blocking. If a consumer chooses to block general advertising in this way but consents to access a layer of filtered advertising which only serves campaigns and creative that adheres to the Acceptable Ads specification (www.acceptableads.com), it is possible that the advertising will have been enabled by Blockthrough.  Consumers consent to Acceptable Ads via their adblocker settings.

This Privacy Policy provides information about Blockthrough and how we collect, share and use Personal Information about individuals who use our website and our customer’s end users, as well as how individuals can exercise applicable privacy rights.  This policy relates to our website www.blockthrough.com and the data that is collected via the Website and our ad filtering services, from our customers and prospective customers and otherwise in the course of Blockthrough’s business operations.

Blockthrough collects Data as detailed below:

Certain parts of our Website may ask you to provide Personal Information. Such information includes:

The Dashboard is an interface that provides our clients with information about their traffic and our product’s performance.  The Dashboard can be accessed here (https://dashboard.blockthrough.com/).

The Personal Information that you are asked to provide and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your Personal Information and you will be provided with an option to opt-in to receive future marketing messages.

When our customers implement the Blockthrough ad filtering services on their web properties, Blockthrough processes Personal Information of end users who visit our customer’s websites to order to serve the advertisements in accordance with an end user’s blocking preferences. The Personal Information processed by Blockthrough is:

  • IP address
  • Device type
  • Unique device identification numbers
  • Browser-type
  • Broad geographic location (e.g. country or city-level location)

When processing Personal Information on behalf of our customers, Blockthrough is acting as the “data processor” and the customer is the “data controller”.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the following data protection rights:

  • If you wish to access, correct, update or request deletion of your Personal Information, you can do so at any time via standard data subject rights request forms at https://blockthrough.com/subject-access-request/ or by emailing [email protected].
  • In addition, you can object to the processing of your Personal Information or ask us to restrict processing of your Personal Information. You can exercise these rights  via standard data subject rights request forms at https://blockthrough.com/subject-access-request/ or by emailing [email protected].
  • If you choose to receive marketing communications from us, you have the right to opt-out at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the marketing e-mails we send you. Please allow up to 72 hours for your contact details to be removed from our database. Please note, if you do decide to opt-out and you or your business have a contractual agreement with Blockthrough regarding the provision of products or services, we may still be required to send you emails in regards to these services and to support our contractual obligations.
  • If we have collected and processed your Personal Information with your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time via standard data subject rights request forms at https://blockthrough.com/subject-access-request/; by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in any e-mail communications or by emailing [email protected].Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your Personal Information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
  • You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your Personal Information. For more information, please contact your local data protection authority.

You may also have to the right to make a complaint to your local privacy regulator regarding Blockthrough’s collection, use or disclosure of Personal Information.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Blockthrough will collect Personal Information from you only when:

  • Where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights
  • Where we have your consent to process your Personal Information
  • We need Personal Information to fulfill a contractual obligations to you or our customers

HOW LONG DOES BLOCKTRHOUGH  KEEP PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We retain Personal Information for as long as we have an active relationship with our customers unless otherwise specified, or until it is deleted following a request from the individual subject of the data.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Information, we will either delete it when it reaches a maximum storage time limit (currently 12-months after the last interaction with a data subject) or anonymize it.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

As part of operating our business, Blockthrough may share Personal Information with authorized employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, or other third parties to perform services on our behalf that are related to the purposes stated in this privacy policy.  Such purposes include:

You are entitled to opt-out from our marketing lists and databases at any time by following the instructions in those communications. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about our ongoing business relations.

  • We will provide the data within 30 calendar days.
  • We may need to verify your identity before processing your request
  • If the documents you require include information about other people (third parties), we may edit this out.

If you would like to access, modify or request deletion of information held about you or opt-out of emails from Blockthrough, please complete the Subject Access Request form.

The information you supply will only be used to identify the data you are requesting and to respond to your request. Once you submit a Subject Access Request form we will endeavor to acknowledge the request within 72 hours of receipt and we will provide the data within 30 calendar days.
